Migration Notification Data.gov is migrating to new infrastructure. To well-constructed the migration and to ensure we have the same content when we switch from the current to new infrastructure, we need to put the website in read-only mode. We will start with catalog.data.gov and inventory.data.gov on Friday, December 9 until we are ready to launch in the new infrastructure. During this time, there will be no harvests from data.json and other harvest sources. Federal government users of Inventory.data.gov will be worldly-wise to generate a data.json file but will not be worldly-wise to edit metadata. On December 13, the main Data.gov site, labs.data.gov, and the Data.gov Help Desk will moreover go to read-only. The website will remain functional and public users should not be unauthentic by the migration. We visualize completion of the migration process between December 22-27. We repent for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding. The migration will enable Data.gov to provide greater functionality to both government and public users.
